24 hr.Race- 2001
Moab Outback was one of the sponsors of the ladies team, V2V, at the 24 hr. bicycle race in October of 2001 and 2003. These photos are from 2001. It was held at a location 12 miles south of Moab, Utah, called Behind The Rocks. It is a relay race, with 4 people per team. It starts at noon on Saturday, and ends at noon on Sunday. They race thru the night with battery powered lights strapped to their bikes and helmets. In 2001 I provided 7 Tipis. Four 16 ft. Tipis. One for each team member. One 20 ft. Tipi for the mechanics to work out of. One 22 ft. Tipi for a warm up tent for the rest of the support group that had a massage table and a big gas heater, and a 12 ft. Tipi for the kids. The desert is warm in the day time in October but cold at night.
